What is AMSA?

Asian Medical Students’ Association (AMSA) was founded at 1985 in Manila, the Philippines. The written agreement of AMSA was released with the cooperation of representatives from 9 member countries, which was Indonesia, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, and the Philippines.

In Indonesia, AMSA is consisted of several local chapters in each university. In Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University, AMSA is one of institutional bodies under External Relation Division of Student Council.

Philosophy of AMSA : Knowledge, Action, and Friendship

AMSA-INDONESIA

Currently, AMSA Indonesia has 26 active members from medical faculty in universities all over Indonesia. AMSA-Indonesia has 6 Districts refer to its work region. Each district has several local chapters. Each local chapter/university is led by a Representative (a.k.a President for its local AMSA). AMSA-UNDIP is in District 4, together with AMSA-UNS (Solo), AMSA-UGM (Jogja), and AMSA-UNPAR (Palangkaraya).

Like other organizations, AMSA Indonesia has its own Cabinet known as Advisory Board and Executive Board. AMSA Indonesia is led by a Regional Chairperson. Below is the organogram for 2014/2015 tenure:
